Upcycling Books

A while back I posted this picture on Facebook of bricks painted to look like books that you can put in your garden.  it got over 33,000 shares.  This got me thinking it might be fun to see what other ways people have used books to create something new and cool.  I usually don't condone the destruction of books, but I'm sure we all have pile of books lying around that are falling apart and could be given "new life."  Here are some ideas...

  1. Book spine storage box
  2. Bookmarks made from old book spines

  3. A clock made from a book--could be cute in a kid's room or nursery

  4. Bookshelves made of books

  5. And for the finale...a book headboard!

Have you seen or done any upcycling projects using books?
