Here is my cranberry jello salad. The best I have found. My mom got this from a friend when I was young. I started making it when I got married. Now my grown daughters make it for their families.

Cranberry jello salad

1 small package cherry jello

1/2 C hot water

1 C sugar

1 C raw, crushed cranberries

1 C crushed pineapple

1 apple, chopped

1 orange, cut up

1/2 C chopped walnuts or pecans, if desired.

In medium saucepan over low to medium heat, dissolve jello in 1/2 C water. Add sugar and stir until sugar is dissolved or almost dissolved. Remove from heat. Add rest of ingredients and mix well. Pour into shallow casserole dish (8x8 or 9x9). Chill several hours or overnight.
