Happy Veterans Day!

I ran across this lovely tribute in Glencoe, Alabama.

This morning I'm in Tupelo, Mississippi, and headed for Southhaven, West Memphis,  Collierville, Corinth, and Florence.  My GPS has been directing me by some rather...curious...paths, and I admit some times I get a little concerned. Sometimes, though, I start daydreaming about my books. Guess while I'm on my #MIRACLEROAD trip, I'm following the DREAMWEAVER TRAIL. ;)

Looks like you are having a great trip with wonderful scenery. Our town does a field of flags for Veterans Day - saw it last week when I went to pay my property taxes - quite impressive.
I've never been to Mississippi (will never forget how to spell it thanks to the little tune I was taught as a kid - MIS-SIS-SIPPI!

Sometimes the mystery path can be the most beautiful of them all. I am sure it was not just the GPS leading you to these places.

I have an old GPS that tends to send me down some weird paths...usually gets me where I'm going if I just don't second guess the directions (alleys, etc).

I love driving in the southern states! You get a sense of togetherness and hospitality. During a 13 hour drive from TX to TN one summer it was difficult after a while to pay attention. The views are gorgeous at first but, then all the trees start to run together! I took pictures at my rest stops. And no joke two pictures I took a good 200 miles away from on another looked identical! Safe travels!

I usually do the navigation with a map. I have used the GPS function on my phone, but prefer the maps. Either way, there are times when we doubt we are really headed where we want to be. Enjoy.
