A Holiday Treat

Here's a little Christmas gift to you and me written by my assistant, Chelsea Klepfer.

Thank you, Chelsea!

Twas the Night Before Christmas

in Eternity Springs

Twas the night before Christmas in Eternity Springs,

Where broken hearts heal and angels earn their wings.

The stockings were hung at Angel’s Rest with care,

In hopes that Celeste Blessing soon would be there.

Nic’s puppies were nestled all snug in their beds,

While visions of dog biscuits danced in their heads.

Gabe sat by the fire, his last gift to wrap,

As the twins settled down for a long winter’s nap.

At Hummingbird Lake, Sage and Colt trimmed their tree

And hung colorful ornaments that were such a sight to see.

The couple stepped back just as it began to snow

And suddenly found themselves under the mistletoe.

At the Yellow Kitchen, Ali and Mac cooked up a new dish

That was sure to fulfill everyone’s Christmas wish.

And Sarah and Cam decorated cookies with Lori

Only to find Devin had eaten their inventory.

Cat and Jack sipped eggnog up at Nightingale Way,

Anxiously awaiting the morn’ of Christmas Day.

While Savannah and Zach snuggled up by the fire,

Neither one in any hurry to retire.

And poor Lucca wasn’t sure he could cope

With another Christmas song being belted out by Hope.

Aspenglow Place was all quiet and still,

Except for Gabi Romano sitting at the window sill.

The little Colorado town lay, all frosted and white

When the sound of a motorcycle rent through the night.

Gabi looked out the window, a figure coming into view

Carrying a bag full of presents and angel blazons too.

The driver was lively, a sly grin on her face,

As she stole through the town putting the gifts in their place.

At each house she would stop, placing a gift by door,

Each one bigger and better than before.

The last house finished, her task now complete,

She sprang to her Gold Wing and took off down the street.

But Gabi heard her exclaim, ‘ere she drove out of sight,

"Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good-night!"
